ABOUT

As a young adult, Ms. Mitchell was determined to write books to empower, encourage and give hope to struggling teens.

She believes that as a natural course of life, young people are faced with formidable challenges: acceptance, trust, motivation, self-harm, depression, anxiety, bullying, etc.

Reflecting on personal experiences, she was compelled to write a non-judgmental, relatable story to help develop the self-efficacy needed for young girls to live healthy, productive lives.

“I wanted to help develop teens’ confidence in their ability to change if they are experiencing these challenges. Growing up, I experienced some of these challenges, and I needed to write about it to help myself and others. It was therapeutic.”
